Appearance Measurement Products

Appearance Measurement Products are instruments or tools used to quantify how a material or surface looks to the human eye. These products help measure attributes like color, gloss, texture, haze, transparency, and surface uniformity—important for quality control, product consistency, and meeting customer or regulatory standards.

Glossmeters

A glossmeter (or gloss meter) is an instrument used to measure the glossiness (or shininess) of a surface. It quantifies how much light is reflected from a surface at a specified angle.

Haze Meter

A haze meter is an instrument used to measure the amount of haze or cloudiness in transparent or translucent materials such as glass, plastic films, coatings, or liquids. It helps assess optical clarity—how clearly you can see through the material.

Color Measurement Products

Color measurement products are instruments and tools used to objectively measure, control, and communicate color across a wide range of materials and applications. These products help ensure color consistency and quality throughout manufacturing, quality control, product development, and R&D processes.

Colorimeter

A colorimeter is a device used to measure and evaluate the color of objects or materials by comparing it with a standard. It helps quantify how colors appear to the human eye, typically in terms of RGB or CIE color spaces like CIE Lab*.

SpectroColorimeters

A spectrocolorimeter is a hybrid color measurement instrument that combines features of both a colorimeter and a spectrophotometer. It measures color more accurately than a basic colorimeter by analyzing the spectral reflectance or transmittance of a material, but it's typically more compact and cost-effective than a full laboratory-grade spectrophotometer.

Color Spectrophotometer

A color spectrophotometer is a high-precision instrument used to measure the color of a material by capturing its spectral reflectance or transmittance across the visible light spectrum (typically 400–700 nm). It provides highly accurate and objective data for color quality control, formulation, and analysis.
